The Verdict

Well, the company I work for has been truly incredible.  I was pulled into a room today, and told that I was a valued employee, and even though they always give exit interviews, all of them were there today because they were sick when they heard why I was quitting.

I explained the why's and hows as best I could.  But how do you explain an overall feeling that you have had more than specific ways the company is run that you haven't agreed with?  It truly was a hard thing for me.  I sat in that room with the person who hired me, the head of the department, the person over evaluating me as an employee, and of course my wonderful team lead- and I had to tell them that I wasn't staying because I didn't feel honest while being  there.

We all cried a little.  I have really come to care for the people I work with- and it was touching to know that they cared in the same way.  They asked me for suggestions on ways to improve, and explained some of the reasons why the company does things the way they do.  I was really grateful, and putting aside the fact that I consider them friends, they were very professional and loving in the way the spoke with me today.

So, do you know anyone looking for a Spanish speaking, hard working, ridiculously always on time, and devoted employee?  I am currently looking for work.

Until next time,

Camille
