I know! Amazing right?! ha ha...okay so they are just small things, but it is helping me to feel like I am going to take a hold of my life. We all know that by small and simple things, great things are brought to pass (Alma 37:6)
Here I used my rhyming skills to portray my counter and bed before and after. As you can see, I had an array of Christmas candy on my counter, and if you are anything like me, it is nothing but evil waiting to happen. So I put them in little baggies and put them AWAY! IN THE CUPBOARD! This will ensure me that I will not be tempted by them every time I go to throw something away and/or when boredom attacks.
After picking up the house, it is important to shower so that if the FedEx guy comes by, he doesn't think that you are a cat lady. That is what I did, showered. (Even you with cats know what I mean, right? It's a metaphor...no personal offense is intended.)
It is good to feel clean physically, and it is important to feel happy. Not only that, but our bodies are temples.
“The Lord has commanded [his children] to take care of their minds and bodies. They should obey the Word of Wisdom, eat nutritious food, exercise regularly, control their weight, and get adequate sleep. They should shun substances or practices that abuse their bodies or minds and that could lead to addiction. They should practice good sanitation and hygiene and obtain adequate medical and dental care. They should also strive to cultivate good relationships with family members and others.” (Handbook 2: Administering the Church
Plan for the next following days:
- Research meal plan (This gets hard. There are so many good things to eat out there, but I want to eat the best, so that I feel the best about myself...therefore I will be cooking a lot.)
- Make daily routine (The routine is changeable OF COURSE, but if you have a routine, it is much easier to keep up with the positive things you are doing like reading scriptures, praying, cooking, etc.)
- Set positive attainable goals ("Not to many, nor too few, not to high, nor too low.")
- Make my AWESOME MORNING MOTTO! (I will explain this one later.)
Have a wonderful day!
P.S. You are probably wondering about exercising, right? Well, if you clean your house, you get some good sweat going, so if you want some more exercise, I will give you permission to vacuum your floor. Go ahead, you just might enjoy it. (Note:Optimum enjoyment will occur if you put on your Christmas tunes and dance with the vacuum.)
